Colour of 2013

Looking for a colour? How about green?
The Pantone-trend experts nominated this week “Emerald” as the colour of the year 2013. It´s quasi like the Oscar for colours! So I guess, we´ll see a lot of green things next year, clothes, furniture, paper hangings, cars, etc…
I like the kind of green, but my favourite from the “Oscar-winning” colours remains for the time being 2009.

Wild pattern

Prints were definitely this year a big theme and will be also in 2013. So it´s time to have a look, what Mary Katrantzou suggests. She is a greec fashion designer and famous for her expressive mix of patterns. It seems for her newest designs she was very inspired by stamps and bank notes. In my case the first time, that I´ m interested in stamps…

Kimono – True Art

In theory, Kimono are T-shaped, straight-lined robes worn so that the hem falls to the ankle, with attached collars and long, wide sleeves. Kimono are wrapped around the body, always with the left side over the right (except when dressing the dead for burial.), and secured by a sash called an obi, which is tied at the back. And also very rich inspiration for all time…

I am really excited with Mamechiyo Modern kimono…

Under the Microscope 1

I can`t say, that I know much about chemistry and biology, but that pictures and forms, what we can see only with a help of microscope, can be irresistible and completely something different. In this Post, I`ve chosen some examples that give us a “line games”. Also, lines waiting for us in the next fashion season. So its time to make them interesting…
